Description

At the beginning of the film we see shot of Kneller Ltd, Rex Arnold and a man walking along a railway line. Next we see shots of children playing in residential streets and roadsigns for The Westway, The Greenway, The Slade and The Inlands. After shots of a game of football at a playing field there are shots of Daventry Autocar Garage on the corner of New street. Following this there are shots of businesses and shop fronts including: Green Bros Plumber Engineers, Stead and Simpson, Newmans, HH Jeary, George Mason, Foster Bros, Hensman's & Co, BBC Club, Pamela Hairdressers, RN Eaton, John Cockerill, KW Luxury Coaches, Wheatsheaf Hotel, Northampton and Midland Building Society and the Dun Cow pub. There are shots of Holy Cross Church, Moot Hall and the Burton Memorial. In the next section there are shots of women taking part in a running race from Rugby to Daventry in 1963, women finishing the race and being presented with prizes by the mayor. Next we see shots of scouts, brownies, guides and a marching band in a St George's Day Parade in Daventry. Then we see shots of people playing, jumping and diving at Daventry Swimming Pool. The film ends with shots of the Pytchley Hunt.
