Description

There are shots of various games at Matlock Football Club including one played in snow. We then see a helicopter landing at Highfields School in Matlock. The Duchess of Gloucester is on board and is met by school staff. We then see the Duchess meeting members of the Women's Voluntary Service (WVS) at outside the Derbyshire County Council headquarters at Matlock - County Hall (the visit took place on 18 April 1963). The final section was filmed on 2 August 1963 and shows reporters on the platform at Matlock railway station. Outside the station we see the Prime Minister Harold Macmillan who waves to the gathered crowd and gets into a Rolls Royce which is driven away.
