Description

Studio links by Mike Prince. Rajinder Ram reports from the Wesleyan Holiness Church in the Meadows area of Nottingham where Sister Rose Burrell performs emotionally charged faith healing sessions. Rajinder interviews Sister Rose as well as the Reverend Christian Weaver and Mrs Fleming who is a believer in the technique. We see Sister Rose in action inside the church during a service. In the studio Michele Guinness interviews Reverend Russ Parker from Leicester who has written a book titled 'Healing Dreams'. Next in Leicester Rajinder Ram meets Muhammad Salim Khan who is a physician who promotes Islamic natural cures. The pair chat inside his surgery. Finally Michele Guinness visits the Hayes Conference Centre at Swanwick in Derbyshire where a conference 'Towards Help in the 1990s' discussing Christian attitudes to healing is underway. Michele interviews Reverends Denis Duncan; John Wilkinson; Martin Israel and John Young and we see Monsignor Michael Buckley speaking and performing a healing session. There are also examples of dance and art workshops shown.
