The film is a semi-professional record of the Silver Jubilee celebrations in the village of Edwalton in Nottinghamshire. Much of the soundtrack is dubbed music but there are some sections of commentary as well as pieces to camera and interviews from a man acting as a 'reporter'.
We see Edwalton parish church; an event on stage where the village's jubilee princess is selected (Nicola Gould); we then see Nicola having her hair cut in preparation for her duties.
The local children dance around a may pole and enjoy games whilst the vicar is put in stocks. Next, at an indoor party the reporter interviews a group of children. We then cut to outside where Nicola dedicates a new bench and the reporter interviews two elderly residents (Mrs Ridgeway and Mr Hallam).
Shots of the choral society are followed by a football match (with a joke commentary) between a group of women and a team from the church. The reporter is next seen interviewing three women about their house which is decorated for the Jubilee. Finally we see the villagers dancing in a hall.

The title 'Edwalton Jubilee' was written on the can but the film inself carries no title.
