Description

We see various scenes of the construction of a new transmitting station for the BBC at Droitwich (to replace an existing one at Daventry). The process begins with surveys carried out on suitable land by the BBC Research Department. We also see the construction of the large water tanks required for cooling, the installation of diesel engines supplied by English Electric, and the installation, testing and operation of radio equipment at the new building.
