We see vehicles from the Red Cross mobile column driving along Church Street in Ashbourne. They are next seen parked in a field. Volunteers are tested (a pin prick to the ear) and then blood is taken into sterilised beakers. The donors lie on bunk beds set up outdoors during their session. Towards the end of the reel we see a group of American soldiers who stand around an American Red Cross lorry.
