Description

The film begins with shots of the Dale family playing in the snow at Eyton Hall. Next we see shots of people in a glasshouse at Eyton with seedlings. Brief indoor shots are followed by a man and a woman mounting horses and riding along a lane. Then there are more shots of people at work in glasshouses and shots of Hereford cattle. This is followed by intertitle: 'National Hunt Races, Cheltenham, 14th March 1957', shots of a woman walking into the race grounds, prize cups, shots of the dining room, a bar and people queuing for luncheons. Next we see intertitle ' Gold Cup Being Won by Linwall, Cheltenham, 14th March 1957' and shots of race horses in a ring, shots of the race and people milling about afterwards.
Briefly there are shots of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on a balcony before intertitle 'Fox Hunter's Cup being won by the Callant, Cheltenham, 14th March 1957' and then shots of another race. Next the intertitle: 'Radnor and West Hereford Hunt, Titley, 15th March 1957' and shots of a horse being led into a horsebox at Eyton Hall, then shots of a woman mounting a horse and a group on horse back next to the war memorial at Titley. The film continues with shots of the hunt crossing a railway line, by a river and riding across fields. Finally there are shots of men digging out a fox and hounds chasing and killing the animal. We see the horsebox returning to Eyton Hall stables and then shots of a man and woman on a ride near Bircher.
