Description

The opening section shows views of Southwell and includes descriptive inter-titles. We see the exterior of the Admiral Nelson Inn, the exterior of Southwell Cathedral, street scenes in the town, a view of the bridge over the Trent at Kelham (dated 25 September), and a brief view of Kelham College seen across the river.

The next section shows Walter with his family and dog (Bonzo). Walter appears to be Walter Hole, the landlord of the Admiral Nelson pub which had been seen earlier. The family are seen walking across a field. The remainder of the film does not have inter-titles and begins with shots of men and children riding a miniature pony on a lane, briefly pigs in a sty and two men walking from a farmhouse. We also see views of countryside (may be Derbyshire) and men clambering over a wall. We then see a parade through Mansfield with people marching wearing costumes (including a group with a sedan chair), a lorry transporting fir trees and several vehicles. We then see a group of people in a back yard, a view of a river, two men posing for the camera on a bridge, a man in a deck chair with a cat and dog.

The final section is in Derbyshire and shows views of traffic (including point of view shots on a road busy with cars and motorcycles). A very brief shot of Peveril Castle and a sign for Blue John suggests we are in the Castleton area.
