Description

The reel starts with a couple getting married which is followed by an inter-title "and in the fullness of time". We then see a sequence showing a baby on a bed, sitting in a high chair and cot covering several years as the boy grows up and begins to walk and ride a tricycle. The next sequence shows a family holiday to Scotland with views of the Forth Railway Bridge and a zoo (Edinburgh?). We then see the boy starting school and playing in snow. Views of the River Trent at Nottingham in high flood are followed by shots of lorries driving through flood water. This is followed by a summer sequence including views of a swan on a nest of eggs. We then see attractions at the Nottingham Goose Fair including shots taken from an aerial ride. Shots of the family on Clifton suspension bridge in Bristol. The family are next seen at Lincoln on Steep Hill which is followed by a view of the Cathedral. Finally we see the grounds of Chatsworth House in Derbyshire including the distinctive high fountain.
