Notes

John Profumo (1915 - 2006) was the Conservative MP for Stratford upon Avon from 1950 until his resignation in 1963. Profumo was forced to resign after it was discovered that he had lied to the House of Commons about his relationship with the model Christine Keeler. Although not confirmed, judging by the film stock date and the events on view this is probably Profumo retaining his seat in the 1959 General Election.
