Shots of the new Raleigh Vulture which will be made in Vietnam. It costs £50 to produce and will sell for £230. Interview with Allan Spencer who was made redundant from his Operations Director post today after thirty years with the company. He says that given the nature of things in British industry it is to some extent inevitable. Interview with redundant worker Michael Wright who says that his dad worked for forty four years for Raleigh and it's like father, like son. Interview with another worker taking redundancy, Michael Brazier who says that the factory was like family. Brief interview with Phillip Darnton, the Chairman of Raleigh who says that the costs and the qualities in the Far East are more competitive than anything they can match.
