Interviews with Phil Martin (UDM), Kath Lees, Dick Bryan (manager), Phil Martin (chairman), Tom Moore (manager), John White (UDM President), Bryn Brearley (UDM secretary), Tim Burke (British Coal) and John Corrigan (Chamber of Trade). Views of Ollerton town centre and people walking through the streets (wet weather). Exterior of Ollerton and Bevercotes Miners Welfare which was a centre for the strike campaign but has now been taken over by the UDM. Exterior of Broughton and District Social Club where the miners who went on strike still drink. In the club Phil talks to Jimmy Lees, George Brookes and Paul Whetton who all lost their mining jobs by going on strike.
