Library shots of the cable cars at the Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath. We see Malcolm Brabant inside the ‘gold mine’ searching for the seam where the excavations are said to have been going on. Back on the surface he is confronted by the managing director Andrew Pugh who evicts him and the crew from the site. Malcolm Brabant piece to camera with a lump of gold he found in the River Derwent which he takes to the geology department at the University of Nottingham for analysis. Interview with Dr Peter Harvey, senior geology lecturer who was shown a sample and confirmed that is was gold. Interview with gold dealer Harry Yeomans who said the nugget was worth £270. Malcolm ends the item with another piece to camera.
