Description

The film is a montage of shots showing the life styles of a number of individuals living in Birmingham. Some of the people featured appear in several sections others only once. Commentary is provided by the participants.

We see a wealthy man who drives a Rolls Royce and does high-powered business deals (Richard Usmar according to the name on his doorbell); a former tax inspector who is now homeless; male and female strippers; a couple who meet through a dating agency (the man's name is Kerry Gilbert); a male goth and his gothic friends on a night out; a reggae band rehearsing; a female dominatrix; a pawn shop owner; and a man (Tommy) meeting a psychiatrist to discuss his sexual problems.

We also see shots of an autopsy; an ambulance on an emergency call; rubbish being cleared up in the street; a car production line using robots (probably Longbridge); a disco; and a tea dance.
