We see a boy playing with a toy gun. We then cut to a beach and see children riding donkeys and a boy digging in the sand. The next section shows a children's fancy dress parade at Butlins in Skegness (some children have small signs including references to coupons and war surplus). We then see the boy driving a pedal car in a back yard and playing on a slide. Next we return to holiday scenes with people in pedal and rowing boats and women parading for a beauty contest (there is also a brief shot of men with trousers rolled up probably for a knobbly knees event). We then return to more shots of the boy around a fountain and sailing a model boat, back on the beach, and back in the yard in the pedal car and playing around a tin bath. We briefly see a miniature railway (known to have operated during August 1946) before more shots of boys making sand castles with a man and another ride on the donkeys.
We then have several shots of a baby in a cot and on a rug with see shots of a toddler on a beach and in a paddling pool and a donkey ride along the sand.

Not clear if the shots are from the same holiday and if every scene is Skegness.
