Description

Shots of dogs in a garden in snow. Cut to a fair where we see distant shots of an escapologist being hoisted into the air by their ankles and then shots of a traction engine, fun fair, a miniature traction engine and display of stationery engines. After a mini motorcycle display we see more views of a funfair. We then cut to Buxton town centre were we see fun runners standing around and then a parade with a marching band and carnival queens being driven past the camera on cars and lorries that have been decorated with flowers. We then return to domestic scenes to see a puppy in a house and then two dogs and a cat in a garden. Further shots of the puppy in a house playing with a woman and a scarf follow. The next section shows a visit to Bodnant Gardens at Taly-y-Cafn in Conwy, Wales. Returning to Buxton we see further shots of the carnival parade including a carnival queen on a trailer towed behind a car, more marching bands and a view of the Buxton well. After more shots of the parade a title "Buxton Carnival 1982" ends the reel.
