We open with the wedding of Minnie Turner to George Saunders at Holy Trinity Church at Meanwood in Leeds (1934). There are views outside the church and at the reception held in the garden of the family home, the Grove, Meanwood. We also see confetti being thrown and the bride and groom leaving by car. Next we see the wedding of Marjorie Seed and Harold Billiard again at Meanwood (1935). The couple and their guests pose for photographs in the grounds of the church.
The next wedding of Felicity Simpson and Ian Dove takes place at Mapperley in Nottingham (July 1963). We see the guests arriving at the church under a covered walkway. Views inside the church show the bride and groom on the aisle and then leaving the church. We then see the photographs being taken, the cutting of the cake and the speeches which take place inside a marquee.
The next wedding is filmed in colour and shows the marriage of Winnifred Clark and Arthur Simpson in Retford (April 1940). We see the couple leaving church and a page boy wearing a satin suit poses for the camera. We then have two separate weddings in Falmouth - Kathleen Russell and Michael Allum in October 1959 and Pam Allum and Ray Lyne in November 1959. The final section shows the wedding of Noel Dickinson at Grove Street Methodist Church at East Retford in 1963. The bride and groom are seen outside the church unfortunately there are camera problems for this section.
