A record of various events taking place in Nuneaton in 1955.
We see a parade of soliders from the Royal Warwickshire Regiment (thought to be an event in which the freedom of Nuneaton was granted).
A council meeting during which the Mayor Councillor Mrs L. Whetstone is seen handing over to the new mayor Alderman R. Hadden.
We then see an event in Riversley Park, Nuneaton where the vicar of Coton is seen speaking in front of the bandstand. This is followed by another military parade.
Next there are shots of demolition work and a car park which is the proposed site for a new bus station. We then see construction work on a large building.
Finally at a carnival we see an outdoor puppet show and a female marching band.
