The reel opens with the arrivals at a wedding. We then see flooded roads in Matlock. There are also various scenes of family members and pets in gardens. The next section shows a visit by Queen Elizabeth II to Derbyshire on 10 May 1968 beginning with the royal cars driving through Starkholmes and then brief shots of the Queen in Matlock filmed from the crowd. Another wedding follows with guests arriving at St Giles Church in Matlock (in 1970) with snow on the ground. A few snow scenes follow including a boy with a snowman. Fairly dark views of a diesel train passing a level crossing and then high angle views taken in Matlock of a steam hauled train and a diesel pullman (c1968). Further scenes in the family back garden at Starkholmes. Scottish dancing at the Cromford Carnival on Cromford Meadows. Family beach holiday (Bridlington?).
