The first part of the reel shows a visit to France by a group of men. They are seen travelling on a boat on a canal and then visiting the grave of Captain Albert Ball VC who was killed during the First World War. The grave is at Annoeullin in Northern France. This is followed by views of a town, seafront and docks including views taken from a ferry of a car and a motor scooter being winched on board as cargo. We then see views taken on deck on the return journey including a shot of the white cliffs of Dover.
The remainder of the reel shows a boat trip along the River Trent in Nottinghamshire. The destination is the Old Elm Tree Inn at Hoveringham. On arrival we see members of the party standing with drinks outside the pub. We then see various races including a three legged event on the grassy bank of the River Trent as other members of the group relax in the sun.
