Description

The film focuses on a number of 'Field Days', possibly held at Hydefield Dairy in Herefordshire, during which groups of people are introduced to the workings of the farm by invited speakers. Initially a group holding sheets of paper approaches a herd of red poll cows in a field. A similar group is then seen in a farmyard as they are addressed by a speaker. We then see a silage store, more people with the cows and then back to silage as grass is unloaded from a trailer. A speaker is then seen addressing a group of people while sitting on a gate. We then see a red poll bull with its handler and then people in an ornate garden. Next is more cattle with a group of people looking on and then a large hay stack in the shape of a house. Cattle are then seen in a courtyard with another speaker addressing a small crowd. There are shots of more cows in a field and then another speaker in the farmyard.
