Lynda Berry introduces the programme from Ludlow Castle. We see the Ludlow School band performing in the castle. Richard Hudson Evans reports on the on-going castle restoration and we see stone masons Ron Minckley and Chris Bell at work. Next Lynda Berry interviews Sam Burgess who is the chairman of the Ludlow Festival about this year's event. Richard Hudson Evans then visits the Ludlow Craft Centre where he meets Lois Reed who makes corn dollies; candle maker Brian Hankey; potters Jeremy Pane and Lyn Barris; and artist Peter Tarrant. One of the highlights of this year's festival will be a performance of Shakespeare's 'As You Like It'. Lynda Berry interviews the star Charlie Drake about his role. After views of Ludlow town centre Richard Hudson Evans visits St Laurence Church where he meets organist Richard Francis who demonstrates the church's Snetzler organ which is in need of restoration and also meets the sexton Bill Nash at the top of the church tower. Lynda Berry then talks to Chris Barrack who runs a fringe festival at the Bull Hotel before the programme ends with Peter Green chatting to musician Dennis Crowther who sings a Shropshire song.
