Description

Peter Plant introduces the report by saying that a new campaign has been launched to improve Oldbury by the local newspaper (The News Telephone). The various local authorities are blamed for the problems in the area and it is hoped that the latest council (Sandwell) will improve matters particularly concerning local shops. Arthur Webb shows Peter the filled-in canal which was supposed to be a nature walk, an abandoned cinema and the derelict Old Talbot pub. We also see the exteriors of several derelict buildings and wasteground and hear the views of local people. (+ Trims).
