Description

We see Edward Heath posing for the media alongside the barge (it has a sign 'Young Europeans Afloat') and 'launching' it by breaking a Champagne bottle. He makes a brief speech about the venture and is interviewed by John Withington and the boat and his life since ceasing to be Conservative leader. Withington also asks the views of a woman taking part although she doesn't have an opinion on Britain staying in the Common Market and is there because she is a Conservative voter.
