Interview with Mrs Carol Richards whose supply was cut off because unpaid bills amounted to £160. She now faces a bill for a further £300 because her husband illegally reconnected the supply using a wire coat hanger. The Richards and their three year old daughter rely on one paraffin heater for warmth and oil lamps for light. They knew that it was illegal and dangerous to reconnect the supply. Shots of their house and Mrs Richards using a Calor gas ring to boil a kettle and lighting oil lamps. Exterior of MEB headquarters in Birmingham.
