Views of crowds outside Bournville railway station waiting for the arrival of the royal train. After a brief shot of the train arriving we see Queen Elizabeth II leaving the station and getting into the royal car followed by the Duke of Edinburgh. We then see cadets standing to attention and the royal motorcade arriving at King Edward's School. The Queen is greeted by officials and then goes on a walk-about in wet weather. The next stop is at the College of Advanced Technology at Gosta Green which was officially opened by the Queen. We see her arrival and leaving the building accompanied by the principal J. Wilson. We then see large crowds waiting for the Queen in Birmingham city centre followed by her arrival at the Council House. The Queen and Duke are briefly seen waving from a balcony. Next we see her arrival at All Saints church at Shard End again with a large crowd in attendance. The final shot shows the royal train steaming away through a cutting.
