The film begins with the students walking into Ashby Folville and then being lectured by the vicar at Saint Mary's, Ashby Folville's church. We then see interior and exterior shots of the church. This is followed by a visit to the National Assistance Board Polish Hostel in Ashby Folville. Here we see women outside nissen huts and a longer shots reveals the huts in the grounds of the Manor House. We then see farm animals, the pupils being lectured in farm techniques and shots of hay being loaded and a boy driving a tractor. The boys continue their walk through the village stopping to chat to a man with a lorry load of milk churns. Further shots of the village follow including a Midland Red bus passing the camera. The film ends with a shot of the Carington Arms public house (with a V1 rocket in the garden?), some boys posting letters at a wall mounted letter box and then the students leaving the village on the same road they walked in on.
