Description

"On Holiday at Blackpool 1964" (title partly obscured by double exposure problems). We see views of the boating pool at Blackpool and then shots of the seafront showing waves crashing and breaking over a wall including people running for cover. Next we are on board a Blackpool tram. We see one tram which has been decorated in a promotion for ABC Television. After a view of the tower we are next inside ascending in the lift followed by views from the top looking out across Blackpool and the sea and pier. After further views from a moving tram we see shots of a ferry leaving Fleetwood for Knott End-on-Sea. A shot of the entrance to the Pleasure Beach is followed by views taken from a cable car.

The next section (filmed in 1965) shows a visit to Boston in Lincolnshire. We see views of the market including a woman shopping and then views from St Botolph's Church over the town. Next we see children rowing on a river and views of ducks.

We then cut to an airfield where a rider on a Ducati racing motorcycle passes the camera at speed. There are tracking shots of the rider taken from a moving vehicle on the runway and then shots on a road from a car travelling in front (the rider is wearing a flat cap and no helmet).
