We see the various stages in sand casting and die casting at the Universal Engineering Company. Molten metal is tipped by workers carrying hand ladles. We also see the fettling and finishing department where the completed castings are worked on. There are also shots of the factory workers smiling for the camera and finally a shot of the end of the day when the workforce are seen clocking off. Much of the interior footage is dark and hard to make out.
