Description

We see Mrs Ball in the garden with two of her daughters and another woman. A brief shot shows a toy farm set that has been laid out on the lawn. There are further wide shots of the garden and back of the house (Stowe House) and several more shots of the family posing for the camera. On the street outside one of the daughters stands alongside a brand new Fiat 500 Topolino car. Back in the garden we see the girl and her mother playing with a dog and holding a tortoise and we also see her looking at daffodils. More views of flowers and another shot of the Fiat follow. We then see the family getting into an Austin 7 that is parked behind the Fiat as a domestic servant looks on. They drive away down Maxtoke Road.

We then cut to Mrs Ball sitting outside a guest house in Skegness. There are further exterior shots of hotels and guest houses including the Seacroft Hotel where building work is underway. The remainder of the reel is b/w and shows the girls playing with a ball on grassland near the seafront and also walking past the boating lake which looks deserted (appears to be out of season).
