Exterior of Co-Operative Society building in Walsall decorated with a banner marking 'Fifty Years of Progress' and 1886-1936. We then see a beauty queen being crowned by Thomas Gwinnett, the chairman of the society. This is followed by a poster advertising a 'Vehicular Parade' to be held on 9th July 1936. Inter-title: 'Judging the Vehicles'. We see a group of men looking at decorated horse drawn vehicles parked in a yard. In heavy rain we then see views of a parade of vehicles setting off as a policeman directs the convoy at a road junction. 'A week later'. We then see further views of a parade (presumably re-run due to the rain seen in the first sequence). Decorated floats pass the camera promoting various products and activities of the local Co-Operative Society. 'At Cannock'. The parade of vehicles continues past crowds on the street.
