Derek Dougan and his German fiance are seating on a sofa and reporter Reg Harcourt begins by asking about their forthcoming marriage and whether this was on Derek's mind when he was playing.

Reg mentions that Derek's prospective parents-in-law were originally not too happy about the engagement. Derek says that orginally they felt that their daughter was too young, but now they are happy about the wedding.

Reg ask Derek about a possible transfer to Peterborough football club for £20,000. Derek says he would be disappointed to leave Birmingham but would enjoy the challenge of moving divisions.

Reg asks the future Mrs Dougan how she feels about her husbands occupation. She replies that she doesn't mind and that she knows quite a bit about football as she used to play in her village. Reg asks how long she has been in Britain and how she is getting on with the language. She says she has been in England for 7 months and that she is not very good at speaking English.

As the interview draws to a close Utah (name unconfirmed) says that she doesn't like all the publicity that Derek receives.
