One person in twenty is a carrier of cystic fibrosis which is passed through families. Shots of a football crowd are used for this section. We then meet the Conservative MP for Burton, Ivan Lawrence MP whose nine year old daughter, Rachel has cystic fibrosis. We see them playing together and there is an interview with Ivan and his wife Gloria about the condition. Lawrence wants the government to do more. This is followed by an interview with the Labour MP for Gloucestershire West John Watkinson who is also concerned about funding for the illness. A doctor is interviewed who explains the symptoms Finally we meet Dennis Collins and his wife Cathy from Brockworth in Gloucestershire whose two year old son Mark has cystic fibrosis.
