Description

Len Tingle visited the Hanley area of Stoke on Trent where the Ellis family live in a street highlighted by Shelter. They have no running hot water, an outside toilet and the fabric of their house is in a bad state of decay. Interview with Mr Ellis who described some of the problems and with Ron Southern from the council who said that all the houses will either be repaired or demolished within the next two years. Views of house in Hanley with rotting window frames, damp wall and ceiling (+ trims).
