A man drove a red and white Ford Escort into the doorway of the shop, covered it with petrol and then set it alight killing a woman who had been locked in the boot. It is thought that the woman was from Watford and had given the man a lift before she was attacked and bundled into the boot. Shots of activity at the scene including a coffin being loaded into a police van. Statement from a police officer confirmingham that the woman had been alive when the car was set alight.
