We see police officers receiving their daily briefing in the car-park of Charles Street police station in Leicester (including one woman officer) and then shots of officers on the beat in Leicester city centre including a police man passing the clock tower. P.C. John Reid provides a commentary about why he enjoys foot patrol. Interview with with P.C. Jim Bell re the remoteness of panda car patrol. Interview with Chief Superintendent Chris Owen, Divison Commander about the advantages of having a closer contact with the public.
